Topic Dog Boards / Behaviour / 2 young males, food problems

We have a 10 month old German Shepherd and a 4 month old Golden Retriever. The Shepherd is fine but the Retriever becomes very aggresive towards the other dog over any treats/chews we give them. Even if they get one each of the same thing he always wants the one the other dog has. The problem is: we don't know whether to let the 2 of them sort it out between themselves(but the Retriever always wins) or should we intervene and tell him off for being this way. They are both fine with there normal feeding habbits it is just over chews/treats

Any help much appreciated

I have a similar issue in my house. I cannot give all my dogs treats together, if i do, the pup steals from the adult male, he lets him! The pup attempts to steal from adult female, she snaps. Adult female will steal from both, and get away with it.
It has got to the point where Rocky (adult male) will not eat a treat in the same room as Saffi, adn is reluctant to do so in front of Dill (pup).
My advice, dont give them treats together!
