The show is on the 12th June at Camperdown Park, Dundee.
If anybody wants a schedule, please pm your address.
There will be schedules around most open shows soon.
- By Abbeypap [gb] Date 23.04.10 16:02 UTC
I was getting asked if they were out yet, seems to be quite a few folk looking for them already.

Is it available to download from the internet anywhere?
- By kenya [gb] Date 23.04.10 16:43 UTC
Should be able to download from Printmatters website Joan, if not on already, they should in the next couple of days.
I'm at Larkhall next Sunday, will have a heap with me.
- By Abbeypap [gb] Date 23.04.10 16:55 UTC
Off to a Phalene workshop down south next Sunday so have a good time at Larkhall.  I'll get an entry form from off the printmatters website.

Catch up with you at SKC if not before.

I love that show - walking distance, loads of good shopping and sunshine!

> I love that show - walking distance, loads of good shopping and sunshine!

Got to agree it is a great show even when you have to drive one and a half hours to get there, the sun doesn't shine and your skint.  LOL  Hope to see loads of folk there I haven't seen for ages.
- By kenya [gb] Date 24.04.10 08:29 UTC
We have a lot more stalls coming this year, so hoping the sun does shine!!
- By ali-t [gb] Date 24.04.10 11:38 UTC
It will be worth it.  Last year was the first one I have ever been to where it rained and I blame that on the change of date lol
- By Dakkobear [gb] Date 24.04.10 11:40 UTC
I used to love the Camperdown show too - especially if it was sunny. My younger daughter was 3 weeks old the first time she went - it was her 1st dog show (she is nearly 16 now :-0) . Might nip up for a visit.
- By ChristineW Date 24.04.10 11:48 UTC
Marion,

Let me know if you do as I will heave my weary body along then!       Who's the LM judge, might consider entering Curtis as he is looking like a dog half his age!
- By kenya [gb] Date 24.04.10 12:14 UTC
Christine, the LM judge is Alex Friar (Sashal).

Actually, I think you might be able to blame my oldest daughter for the rain  Evertime she wants to go to this show it rains and she ends up very ill. She made plans to come down and visit that weekend ;-)
- By ChristineW Date 24.04.10 16:21 UTC
Thanks Fiona.  Will check the cat show situation as I'm afraid they win hands down now over a dog show!    ;-)

Hi guys,

I was just looking at the schedule for the show on Saturday.
Does anyone know an approx time the Pugs will be on? There is 27 classes before them! But not sure how long they will take? guess?!
- By Nova Date 10.06.10 12:51 UTC
Our show on Saturday as well so lets hope for nice weather country wide and not too windy or the poor stewards will spend the day chasing rosettes and prize cards about.

Although I say that the weather is the one thing I can't control I still walk round with everything crossed.
- By joec [gb] Date 10.06.10 12:55 UTC
Hi Scotgal,
it would depend on the entries that turn up, I am showing Chinese Cresteds and they are in after the Pugs. I usually get there for judging starting in case there are not a lot of entries in the previous classes. I have known some people miss their class because they looked at the schedule and thought they had heaps of time, but then people did not turn up and some of the classes had no entries, hence they went through them quite quickly.

For a bit of fun I have entered the adult handling class. Does anyone know roughly what time this class is usually on??
- By scotgal2009 [gb] Date 10.06.10 13:04 UTC
Hi Joe,
Thanks for this. I only live a few miles way so i dont have far to come! The CKCS always seem to take ages and there before us.
Good luck with your classes!
Im with a cheeky black pug say hi if you see me :-P
- By kenya [gb] Date 10.06.10 16:36 UTC
The handling classes are usually about 11am, depending on free rings, stake classes start at 2pm.
- By CALI2 [gb] Date 10.06.10 18:43 UTC
Thanks :)

What a great day today was maybe just slightly to hot for the dogs, im well and truely sunburnt!

My wee puggy got 3rd in his pug class and reserve in the AV MP massive class which im so thrilled about it was such a large class i didnt think he would have got anything.

It was a lovely day! Nice breeze to cool things down too. No dogs with me but I did spend  10 minutes holding on to a couple of Bernese while owner was in the ring - gorgeous too (one was group 3 working). Teasel's brother was 2nd in AV minor puppy which was lovely to see too :-)
- By suejaw Date 12.06.10 19:15 UTC
Oooh who is the Bern that got BOB then? I never venture that far north, so don't normally keep tabs of the results..
- By Dakkobear [gb] Date 12.06.10 19:22 UTC
It was one of Helen Macauley's (Elnside). Didn't get a catalogue so I don't know the name but he was stunning and a super mover - so nice to see! :-) Newfie was Group 1 - it was gorgeous too

If it was the breeder exhibiting then the name of the dog was "Elnside Nothing But The Best". Looked lovely in the group :)

ETA Was it the open class winner that got BOB as she was also showing one in the Junior class??
- By CALI2 [gb] Date 12.06.10 19:39 UTC
Does anyone know how the person is that required the ambulance??
- By Dakkobear [gb] Date 12.06.10 19:45 UTC
it was the open class winner I assume and he was beautiful! She had a 6 month old bitch with her too so I assume that was the one in junior. I missed the breed classes as we were actually going to see the PBGV so didn't get there til later. Didn't hear anymore about the woman that was taken off in the ambulance, I hope she was OK.

- By helensdogsz Date 12.06.10 21:05 UTC

The lady who was taken away in the Ambulance is fine, she had a heart attack last year at the show!
She suffered quite a bad dizzy turn, but is out of hospital, shes 84, and loves to come to the show!

Thanks for the update, I'm glad she is ok. I heard from a friend that she had had a heart attack last year so was a little concerned about her.
