My boy has always had a tendancy to want to go out to sleep in the shed if the door of it has been left open, not for quite a while though.
Now it seems he is odder than ever.........having come downstairs in the middle of the night he rushed in from outside to see me..but it had been raining and he was soaking.

My son also had this when he came down, he wasn't here so he called him, sure enough another rainy night and he was out again!

Tomorrow I have decided I will see if I can buy him a small kennel for outside, but is this the answer.........or do I have to consider something else?

How strange, a dog whom chooses to go out in the rain, rather than stay tucked up at home. :-D

Just wondering, could you have mice under or in your shed, might be when it rains they run for cover under the shed and your boy is out there waiting for it to happen, it only has to happen once and your boy will remember and expect the same to happen each time. Or frogs, hedgehog, worth checking out.

I doubt it is the rain itself that he is attracted to, slugs and snails come out in the rain too. Or maybe a person? It could be anything.

If it is only on rainy nights  have a check and see what he is up to. Or he may just be a strange one and like getting wet in the rain. :-)

I take it he has a dog door to come in and out of if so no real point in the dog kennel, if he wants to be dry or somewhere else he'll just come in, something has his attention I'm betting, I would do some window stalking to see what he is up to.
