my local rescue has taken in a pmd and newf together in terrible terrible condition and wants to rehome as a pair. Anyone know if there is pmd rescue and if so Im thinking they might have a waiting list and a suitable home could come forward.

Do they need help with either dog? It will not be easy to rehome two such large dogs together and it could take ages. I work with Newfi Welfare (ie Rescue) and I'm sure we would try to rehome the two if at all possible. We did manage a Newf with a BMD a few years ago. What area are they? Newfoundland Club Rescue co-ordinator is Sue Hislop, tel  01669 650320 and she will be helpful. PMD  (GB) is Sandy Tadd tel 01243 513961. There is a Scottish one as well.
