I've been wearing Varifocals for about 4 years now

Have found them BRILLIANT, but I was far too vain to even contemplate Bi-Focals so I was really detemined to get on with them :-D
I put them on when I got home and kept them on. Kept moving my head from side to side and up and down while reading, watching TV, walking around, and after a few hours didn't even notice them - except I could see everything properly :-D
If you can't get on with them, have them checked/double checked. It may be that there is a
slight mistake in their setting or manufacture, it happens occasionally - even in the most expensive/exclusive places ;)
Sometimes the frame chosen for the Varifocals isn't quite the right size or shape, too small and they won't work for you - it depends on your prescriptions and the optician/assistant shoud be able to help you with this. The better quality lens does make a difference.
Can you tell I used to work for an Ophthalmic Optician? :p
