Ok, after all the stick I've had from my children about spoiling my dogs...is there anyone else out there who makes a point of cooking for their dogs as well as the humans when the barbecue is rolled out?

And even if there isn't, they can still have their grilled chicken!

Mine eat theirs raw - sooo much easier than cooking!

One of mine will roll it on the stones first to tenderise it, then a quick dusting of fresh grass cuttings for extra seasoning and vitamins.  Bliss :)

Lol, I always cook extra for the dogs. Its part of the 'deal', if they behave then at the end they get to eat sausage till they burst. We had a BBq on sat and all the dogs were great, apart from Ripley, who stole 2 raw burgers and a kebab before we concluded that she is not yet trustworthy in such a situation, so we tied her to a chair.

You don't have to feel guilty JAY15,

BBQ food is great food, mainly meat, chicken so there is no problem, if you were giving the bread roles etc then of course not good, but no problem in the dogs having some too. :-)

Hi Carrington, guilty was the last thing I felt...more like defiant! At 19 and 22 the boys can cook for themselves, in theory at least, so if I am cooking for all of us I reserve the right to invite who I like to the party. Luckily for them we only have three dogs so far, but I'm working on it :)

BTW the dogs never get bread rolls, but very occasionally they get a bit of baguette with tuna fish salad!!!!

I had a BBQ for some friends on sat night and they had their GSD with them. We had a lot of meat left over, so i handed each of the dogs some sausage.. Why not, they were sort of well behaved, but given the chance i'm sure one of mine would of stolen ALL the meat...
