My 6 month olds first show tomorrow , i just love showing the babies more than anything else, who cares if they muck about and just enjoy themselves.
I hate it when you see the babies at 6 months and they look like all the life has gone out of them already from all the training.
Don't get me wrong mine have been to ringcraft etc but not overdone

Good luck with your babies first show. I agree about pups being pups, I think it is very sad when you see a six month old baby out who should be having the time of its life and it is terrified to move a muscle when being stacked.

Good luck peanuts, I so agree with you about letting them be pups and enjoy themselves, some look like they are battery operated :) however I expect that is easier for the handler!!!!

I love pups to be pups at shows, unfortunately my two year old SWD still hasn't grown out of it.  She stands beautifully but is a nightmare on the move, as has been mentioned in extremely good write-ups about her, but judges have been sad that she wasn't settled enough to show what she's really like.  Did ask a judge what I should do and she told me not to worry and don[t knock her spirit out of her, it is a bit disheartening at times though.

Good luck. My pup has his first show on the 18th.

Just to let you all know Kelly won a Reserve , 6 in the class , i am just so pleased that she behaved and i must admit she had a well deserved ice cream, along with her half brother who won Post Grad.
