Hi, its my partners birthday today. He moved in with me 2 weeks ago.
I have promised him a meal for the two of us tonight, but I have no idea where to start!!!
I normally do Rare Steak, but we tend to go to the Weatherspoons quite often for steak so would like something else :)
We are both big meat eaters :)
It also needs to be something quite quick as I have an injured leg so cant stand for long, and we are out at the cinema tonight so wont have too much time ti cook it :)
Any ideas????
Oh I have some Jersey Royal potatos so something that could be done around thise would be good :) :)
Thankyou
Lea :) :)

Ah the best way to a man's heart is steak and chips!  What about keeping to that theme and doing lamb steaks with fresh minted peas and your Jersey Royals.  Strawberry's and ice cream for pud.  And/Or for starters, Strawberries with Champagne :-) Quick, easy and not too heavy on the tum.

I know you like meat, but how about salmon fillets, put in the microwave for a couple of mins with oil, garlic, basil, mayo, ginger and seasoning(or your own choice) covered with cling film or 10 mins in the oven - lovely with new pots.

Can you buy yourself a lovely key lime pie from M&S? They are lovely..
Or going on Huskypup's idea, how about Eaton Mess?

How about a couple of thick fresh Tuna steaks, this too can be cooked rare and is yum with soya sauce fo dipping.  It's nothing like the canned variety, not fishy at all and similar texture to steak, great with new potatoes and green salad with maybe a home made lime juice dressing :)

well seeing the weather is lovely, i like steak on the bbq then put into a warm crusty baguette, with salad and spuds or chips!! you could eat it outside with some wine or champers,
pudding should be something light and deffinatly shared lol(please excuse my spellings but i cant find my abc spell check!!!)
anyway have a great time
