I'm trying to find any open shows in the South West, I'm planning a holiday in either Sept/Oct and would like to combine the two, I have gundogs, can anyone help? I've looked in the usual places but can't seem to find any, Thank you in advance.

West Country Dog Club have one in October - usually at The Hand Stadium in Clevedon

South Western Gundog Club also usually have one in October in Weston Super Mare.  I can't find a website for them but you ought to be able to get a contact number if you rummage on the web

Cornwall Gundog Club is in Sept I think.  Have you looked at the Prodogs site - they are pretty good and often have contact details if you need information from the club secretary.

I am based in SW and have a 5 month gundog.

Salisbury and south wilts open (29th August)
Newton Abbot & South Devon canine society (28th August)

Going on previous years, as well as those that have been mentioned there is also Okehampton in Okehampton (usually the last weekend in September) and Plymouth have an open show at Exeter in mid-September. Camborne Redruth CS (Wadbridge) is 19th September, Poole at the Bath & West Showground (24th October) and Torquay's show is at Exeter, usually the last weekend in October but it can be the very beginning of November. Tavistock is at Wadebridge on the 3rd October.

I think there is usually one at Wadebridge around mid-October as well...unless I'm thinking of Tavistock. I know we often have a breed club show the same day!

That should keep you going for a while ;)
