My pups are 4 weeks now and doing very well.
I normally put the pups outside when they are 5 weeks ( in a pen with plastc tray ) I just wondered because it was warm to put them out now for a few hours (in the shade)
any thoughts?
many thanks
I don't see why not. So long as they are not in direct sunshine to start with. The fresh air might help them sleep longer ;-)

I have pups 5 weeks tomorrow and they have been in and out the door for the last few days, and they are loving it.

Our pups last year spent more time outside than in during the hot spell. I made sure they had plenty of shade, plus wet towels for them to lay on and they even had a paddling pool... we put a gazebo up over the run we made which was against the garage wall so plenty of shade (about 25 ft square) and aside from coming in to eat they slept and played outside. They loved it!!
Thanks for everyones comments.
I think I will put them out side on the patio next to the house for the morning tomorrow, the sun hits that area around lunch time, so will bring them in then.
Thanks again

My pups in the past have been outside with plenty of fresh water and shade, I have a puppy pen that I fix to the back porch and extend it as the puppies grow (large breed), so they can either go out or be in as they please. :)

Im the same with my 5.5 week old pups. They've been outside when its warmer too :)
My pups are 6 weeks old tomorrow and have been outside when the weather has been ok for a couple of weeks now. For the past 2 days they have had to come in from about 11 - 4 as it has been so hot here. One has an upset tum today - not sure if it's the heat or not - seems fine otherwise - keeping a close eye on her.
