Hello,
How old does your dog have to be before you can start hand-stripping it?
Thank you.

I strip puppy fluff from puppies as young as 4 weeks

there isnt any age on stipping it all depends on when the coat is ready come out. dont try to pull it before it is ready as this will hurt the pup and you will have problems later. good luck

depends entirely on the breed
You have a wire haired vizsla don't you?
I have the same breed and I started as soon as he got home. Quite frankly he was pretty tidy when he came so in the very early days it was more for my benefit than his but it was great for getting us BOTH used to it.
I used to do some when he was nearly asleep and never for very long. He soon became used to the idea that it was part of our routine and it's a great opportunity to get your hands on them. I find it quite therapeutic and he seems to like it too - I get the stripping comb out and he puts himself on the bench outside in preparation. If I don't get there quick enough he amuses himself with circuits of the garden. Daft dog :)

in that cae much depends on the individual coat as some are like mops at 8 weeks and others are forever smooth :( but I would be asking the breeder for advise if you are unsure
