Kim's posting about her poor boy prompted me to post this update. Just to let you all know that since losing Storm, after much thought, research and consideration I have decided to get a Pharoah Hound :-) Me and hubby went to see some adults the other week and fell in love with them. After we met the adults we seen the litter of puppies they had and have booked a little male Pharaoh :D he is so cute we just can't wait for him to arrive. He will be coming on 21st December. We are going to call him Marley. Christmas is definately NOT a hectic time in our house it is just the two of us so he will have plenty of time to adjust to his new surroundings, we both work part time anyway. Hopefully he will be quite well adjusted already as he has been home reared.

I couldn't face getting another Dobe just yet but probably will get one in a year or so when I am feeling a bit more confident after what happened. At the moment we are just looking forward to having another fun loving, active dog to share our lives with.

Best Wishes

Clair

Hi Clair,

I was lucky enough to spend a day with Pam Ayling and two of her Pharoahs and I fell in love. they were absolutely beautiful and so calm.

Good luck with him, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun.

Enjoy the new pup! After losing our 12 year old Rough Collie on the Sunday, I was on the search for a Vizsla by the Tuesday - the hole left in our lives after the collie died was unbearable and the following 6 weeks before the new pup arrived were VERY VERY long. Best Wishes.

Delighted for you Clair. :) Nice to have another sighthound person on Champs too and such an interesting breed. Best of luck - please keep us posted about little Marley. Glad you didn't decide to call him Scrooge or Tiny Tim :)

lol, Ebeneezer would have been a good name bit too long though. This will be my first Hound and I'm looking forward to being a proud sighthound owner :D My dilema now is which day do I go to Crufts :-) ;-)

Hi Clair it's Kim,glad to hear you've another dog on the way,we have one on the way also. We have waited along time for her and it just so happens that she is ready on the 21st also but we can't pick her up until 28th.We are getting a Bull terrier pup.Its just a crying same that Bobs not here to welcome her to our family as I know he would have loved having another in the house.I just hope that she will numb some of the pain.Let me know how he is settleing in and I let you know how our little one is doing.

Aww thanks Kim, Storm and Bob will be there watching over the new arrivals im sure. Have you chosen a name for your little girl yet? She will help you get over the loss of Bob and it means you can remember him and the wonderful life you gave him without feeling so gutted.

It would be lovely to hear how your puppy is doing, I will email you some piccys when we get Marley :-)

Take care

Clair

Thanks Clair that would be great and I could do the same.My daughter has chosen the name Maddie which is short for Madaline but can you imagine me calling a Bull Terrier Madaline!!.The breeder that we are getting her from is on Champdogs under the breeder section and she has some pictures of her on there she is a pure brindell which is a rare colour (and rare money) !!. If we are allowed to choose her kennel name it is going to be Bobby's Brown Eyed Girl which will remined us of him. If they are up there looking down on us I bet their chasing a few cats, one of Bob's favorite pass times.I'll keep you posted and let you know if i've any house left.See Ya

Thanks Pam the poor little thing has had about 8 different names and we have'nt even got her home yet.My daughter kept changing her mind so what I did was get a name tag done and stuck it on her coller and thats how the name stays now.Kim
