Can anyone recommend a good shipping company for a dog travelling from calafornia to the uk,i would rather use a company that has been recommended and has a good reputation.Thanks

Is the dog coming over on PETs, if it is you can do it all yourself.
I tell my clients to use BA, as I know the crew go and check the animals on board.
If you have someone over to transport your do to the airport, you can then pick him up this side.
I can email you the Custom Forms if you need them.

The breeder in the states picked a sipping company because she has never sent a dog to the uk and is terrified she gets it wrong( i assume the shipping companies help with paper work etc?) but there is just something about this company i dont trust,for example there is a set price from usa to london then they said that if i want the dog delivered to liverpool( and i dont even live there!) its an extra $1000 on top of the set price,i just want to pick up my dog from heathrow or gatwick.Yes the dog will be travelling on PETS. The breeder has never sent a dog to the uk before and knowing how strict the procedure is just wants to know the best way possible.Can she set up the flights herself but perhaps hire someone to help with paperwork and if so who would she hire?

BA Fly into Heathrow then transfer to Manchester.
I alway tell my clients to do this. If i have to go to Heathrow it is only £300 and that a quarantine vehicle and paper work etc.
It is very easy to collect a PETS dog from AQS Heathrow.
If you do not want to use them we can collect for you and do the paper work this end.
