i started taking my bitches temp on the 24th, it was 100.58f then on the 27th it dropped to 99.68f then 99.5f then 99.32f then on the 29th it went back up to 100.4 where it has stayed since, could this have been her temp drop or will it be lower than this? she is 60 days today

it will drop alot before she starts, i found days before her temp was lower then norm ,then it dropped very low then went back up then dropped very very low and she started to have the pups 8h after the very low it went to 35.6

her temp has dropped back down to 99.5, first time it has moved for 3 days, maybe (hopefully) it is starting to drop :D her vulva has started to swell up again, 61 days today :)

her temp is still 99.5, she has slept all day and wants to be on her own in the kitchen, has nibbled at her food but not ate huge amounts, does it sound like she is getting close? how long after the vulva swelling do the pups usually arrive? am i an for a sleepless night? lol

she is now up and pacing around after going out for a wee and is panting alot on and off but her temp is still only 99.86, :s

If she is panting, you shouldn't go to bed!  :-(

If she goes out to toilet, watch her like a hawk, as pups have been known to drop outsied when a bitch empties her bowels.  Take a torch, and stay close.

i have been going out with her every time she goes out for the past week and then fetching her back in the house where she has prefered to be which is unlike her as she usually lives outside with my other 2 in the day but comes in in the evening, she has gone back to sleep now in her kennel under the stairs, i dont know if she is trying to keep me on my toes lol

In the early stages (in my experience) a bitch will often doze off in between times.  This is, for me, the worst part.  Once they go into last stage labour, I'm totally focused and in control.

It's the waiting that gets to us!!  :-(

i have been waiting for the past couple of days thinking she might go early but it looks like she may well go to her due date

It sounds more likely that her pup's are lining up ready.  As has been said, the temp will drop down & back up in the last week but it's when you get the big drop down to around 36c that you can then expect the first pup within 24 hours.

The pup's will come 63 day's from ovulation (not mating) so if you progesterone tested & know when she ovulated then that makes it much easier ;)

It seems like you've probably only got a couple of day's left so good luck & I hope all goes well :)

well it is her due date an it looks like tonight could be the night, just taken her temp and it has dropped down to 98.78 from 99.86 last time i took it :D
