Is it possible to have an iTunes account without putting credit card details on the account ?
I only want to use vouchers but as i read it , it insists on a credit card account - probably so you spend more than you mean to !
Thanks in advance .

Oh that's interesting - surely there must be that option as many iTunes users are kids/teenagers who don't have a credit card (or dysfunctional adults like myself). I don't think I saw that come up in my options, I am sure I could use it just through vouchers.

Then maybe i should ask how i can remove my credit card details !
I really hate iTunes but it is a neccesary evil these days .

I have an iTunes account, I use for my iPod. I do have a debit card on my account, but have just checked the 'payment type' = Visa, etc.. at the end of the list there is an option for 'none', so I assume you can check that box to have no card on your account. There is also the option to 'redeem' itunes gift cards & certificates on this page.

I went to 'account', then 'edit payment iformation'.

hope this helps :)

Oh thanks , it works !!!!
That will stop unexpected debits on the card from the kids - they just say that they didn't know the gift card had run out !
