Good Evening,
I wonder if anyone has a miracle solution for my very very smelly Golden :( ? Today at the local country park he rolled in something dead (fish I think) not once but twice !! Usually I shampoo him with a shampoo for getting rid of the smell of fox poo which is normally quite effective, but despite by best efforts today he still stinks. It really is rancid and I really dont know what to do.
Any ideas would be most welcome please :)
Thanx

Ummm back home in Canada we bath the dogs in tomato juice if the get sprayed by a skunk. And that stench is putrid and it lingers for weeks if you dont bath them. The juice seems to neutralise the smell.

I was going to suggest tomato juice as well works with fox so it should remove fish stink as well.

I use tomato sauce on mine too when they roll then I've found a very good shampoo that (mostly) gets rid of it is Dorwest Herb Pennyroyal shampoo. :)
Revolting aren't they lol!

Thanks OP for asking the question and the suggestions every one else!

Yep another vote for tomato ketchup.

Just ordered some Pennyroyal thanks....

Its good stuff and quite a strong minty smell so you only need to apply abit ;)
Dorwest Herb Pennyroyal shampoo ordered and Tomato Ketchup used, we are getting there but he now has a slight reddy tinge to his coat :) Poor love, not a good day yesterday.
If only he would think twice before he does it again - no chance ;)

:) :) Unfortunately they never learn do they! Tend to find, once they start rolling, they never stop ;) The stinkier the better!

Tomato sauce takes the smell out. I used to carry a sachet or two when they were small now they do listen to a "NO!" at full volume!
