I have a litter of pups that are 2 weeks and 3 days. I wormed them on staurday morning all fine.
I have noticed at lunch time by chance as mum keeps them so clean! that one has an upset tummy. Once she got over the drama as pups do, I plugged her on and she fed.
Now it is very warm so im cautious that I dont want them dehydrated, could it be the heat that has caused it. All the rest are fine and each pup has gained weight since worming.
many thanks
Hows mum? Is she alright in the poo department? I was just wondering, if she'd been out and about and bought something back in with her. A bug or something. the big world isn't a sterile environment and even if you have kept her away from dog walking routes, I was thinking wildlife or anything.
Is it the wormer? how long ago did you worm? some worming stuff does make them loose for a while.
Keep an eye on it, for dehydration purposes. Do the tent test regularly on the back of the neck. If pup does not get better soon, ask the vet for advice, they have synulox drops for pups if they think its a bug. But if it was a bug you will soon know because the others will start as well.
Hopefully its something anbd nothing but don't let it ride for too long, small pups can get dehydrated very quickly.

What did you worm them with? I have had it where some pups cannot tolerate certain wormer's. Or if the pup had a lot of worms when it kills them they decompose inside and that can make them very ill, I have had that. I used to prefer the old stuff which used to push the worms out that doesn't happen anymore.
I wormed them with Drontal, which I have always used.
Mum is fine and well, she hasnt been on any walks just a trot up the garden, trying to get her to do that is a task!
ooh meant to say I've been doing the tent test, just to keep an eye.
Thanks for your help
