Does anybody know what the last show that you can qualify for Crufts 2011?

Depends on your breed. Generally speaking it will be Boston in January if your breed can qualify there. For my breed Malinois we cannot qualify after Richmond in September.

Why, is Boston later next year? Used to be it was the last qualifier. Certainly you could do this year -Boston 8th to 10th of Jan, last qualifying date 8th of Jan -so as I say would depend on breed.

Does it not depend on the closing date, if Boston is before that then it will count if after it will not or am I being too simplistic.  You can also qualify at Luton if you win BOB in a Premier breed and at many shows if you win BIS or I think BPIS

It stated very clearly in this year's schedule "This show is a qualifier for Crufts 2011"

The first Boston Championship Show was held a week earlier, and that WAS the last qualifier for the year, since thenit has been the first qualfier for the following year.

That is what I was trying to say it depends on the closing date for Crufts.

But the CRUFTS schedule this year very clearly said the last date to qualify was the 8th of January 2011, which was the first day of Boston, so you could have qualified gundogs this year. :) Especially as online entries did not close until the 15th.

Agree Marianne the mistake must be in the Boston schedule as if entered on line all that qualified at Boston could have entered Crufts 2010, next year will depend on the same factors unless Crufts specifies a date different to that which applies to other shows which is not beyond the realms of possibility.

I think the Crufts schedule actually said the last date to enter was January 8th - and online the 15th.

Qualifying shows were those held in 2009 - hence Luton Premier show qualified as it was in December.

Sorry but no, I keep all my pdf versions of schedules so have the Crufts 2010 schedule right here in front of me on the computer. Page 4, under the heading "Qualification for entry of dogs" says in point 2(a) (4):

"If it has won any of the following prizes in a breed class (as defined in the Kennel Club regulations for the definition of classes at Championship Shows) at a Championship Show, including Crufts, where Challenge Certificates were offered for the breed between 5th of January 2009 and 8th of January 2010."
