One of my girls teat is swollen & lumpy it is full with milk took her to vets have been putting the bigger ones on.But is there anything else i can do to help would a warm cloth help any advice please

Massage by hand very gently it breaks the lumps up, and draw some of the milk off, it should improve fairly quickly if pups are feeding from it.

Place a hot flannel on the affected teat (as hot as possible without it burning her of course) hold it there for approx 2 or 3 mins try and extract a little fo the milk, do this 2 or 3 times a day as well as getting the stronger bigger pups to feed on this teat. The swelling should go down, it could be the begining of mastitis so keep an eye on it..normally the hot flannel works a treat if you catch it early.

Hi teats back to normal did not need to put hot flannel on Moonins but i did massage them & put the big pups on, must have caught it very early on
