How much will this be frowned upon the in show ring?

My pup has very slight sun bleaching (he is a sun lover!), so has a slightly darker stripe over his back. It's hardly noticeable.

He is the dog on the left in this picture

R U Sure it's sun bleaching?  Was always told originally in my breed that the colour faded due to the sun but we don't exactly get that much in this country and definitely not in the last few years and my brown girls have well and truly faded!

No, not sure that it's sun bleaching! I wonder whether it could him either him losing his "puppy" coat, as he is shedding a lot at the moment.

The sun definately affects the coat. I have the opposite problem with my sun lovers, they are white and you know what happens with a bit of white paper left in the sun is yellows :-)  I have to try and keep them out the sun in the afternoon or they would just lie there in it :-)

Add plenty fish oil if you can and keep polishing up the coat.
