Just got ours through from M&S for Harriet who we have never ever claimed a penny for and its shot up to 269.79 for the year which is a massive increase!!!!! Just got a quote from Axa who the other dogs are insured with and its come in at 125.09- what a massive difference and shows that you really do have to shop around.
Does anyone know if Axa are still the underwriters for M&S? I know they used to be years ago when we first went with them. If so, then M&S is making a fortune from them!!!

I've just cancelled the M&S policy and wasnt even asked why? I thought business was supposed to be struggling?

Anyway, just thought I'd post to let people know its worth shopping around as there are massive differences out there

I suspect like other types of insurance, the best deals are reserved for new customers with the existing customers left to pick up the bill.

I got mine last week too from M&S.............an increase of £120, they now want over £400 :-O

I'm going to cancel even though we have claimed from them and I know that the condition claimed for will no longer be covered if we go elsewhere.......................I may just put £400 aside

My petplan policies have just gone up (only £5.00 per month per dog) but still an increase.  Mine all have existing problems so no-one else would insure us but to be honest, my monthly claim is still lots more than my premium so I really cant complain.

my plan with NFU went down this year by £5 a month :)
