It is quite common for a dog to retain their first (milk) canine teeth and it sounds as if that is the problem, you would need to see a vet who may well suggest that the milk baby tooth is removed.

Agree with Nova.  I always get my dogs teeth checked when my vet does my free 6 month puppy health check.  He will then advise on removal of those that need it.

Well I guess a retained tooth would have been too easy!   :-)

But I'm glad that you have your answer, and that it is nothing awful.  Bet you're relieved.

Yes but still not really none the wiser, only that it is a fluid sac surrounding the unerupted tooth ,or how it will be treated until we see the doggy dentist I hope it wont involve a op as two Boxers I know both died having mouth ops one for those Epulis and one for gum over growth so hopefully wont be going down that route.Debby

Sure they will remove the baby tooth but it is a common op so do not distress yourself, unless that tooth is loose and can be removed with a quick pull. But we or rather I am surmising you had better wait and see but thousands of Boxers have ops every year and live to tell the tale so please do not worry.
