I didn't know you could get longhaired & red Rottweilers, it was certainly a suprise to me. :)

I knew long coats occur, but red?  do you mean Brown and Tan?

No i mean red. Am i allowed to put a link on here of a breeders website, its not my website by the way or anyone i know.

Can't put a breeders website up Tricolours as it is advertising for that breeder. ;-) But if we google they come up for people to see, the red gene seems to carry the potential for heart problems and lighter eyes with eye probs so not something to be sought after or want in the Rotti gene pool.

Red rotties are rather attractive, but im not getting one though.

I had a long haired rottie a few years ago and was told by a breeder who also shows his dogs that she must have been a cross breed, just shows this particular person doesnt know everything !

You can also get a long haired bullmastiff

Read on one of the more believable websites that they do believe that there are caused by crossing years ago and the ones that are breeding totally reds are definitely crossbreeds, or had crosses added very recently.  Don't like the look of them myself as they just don't look like the breed.
