hi, i was wondering if anyone uses the furminater grooming tool on their dogs and what do you think of it?
we were thinking of buying one to groom our mal, the website make it look amazing but would like to know if it is as good as they say.
thanks.

I couldn't live without mine! I can take a dog (Malinois) in full moult, looking awful, and have it ready for a show with the Furminator. But buy it on Ebay, it is much cheaper! :) I actually get a LOT roe fur off mine than they show in the photos and videos.

I'm quite a fan of the Furminator!  Two of my Labs moult terribly.. so getting in there first with the Furminator really minimizes the hoovering :-D Bought mine from ebay too, it was quite a bargain.

Haven't got one but borrow my friend's when I'm round! Got 5 BCs, 4 of them don't have particularly heavy coats, so I don't find it particularly useful for them, but one has got a really thick heavy coat and it really does do a good job. I don't think I've quite got the knack of using it though ... whilst it comes out by the bucket load off my girl it seems to blow around and attach beautifully to anything I'm wearing!! :-)

I use a small one for my cats and a large one for my Bernese - both work great - wish I'd had it years ago!

Have to add now that i've tried it again on my Berns and its working wonders on the youngest this time!!! Sooo happy to be getting his coat out, fingers crossed it grows back quickly

I know Suejaw - I don't need to use it often on Bramble but when they get to that stage where chunks of undercoat are coming out and spreading themselves around the house its great for getting a whole load out at once - we often have enough to make 2 Brambles :-) . I use it on my daughter's horse too - great to get rid of the winter coat- it must make them feel so much better!
