is it normal for dogs to have green fluid (paste) coming from penis vets seem to think so and also how often do dogs anal glands need emptying as only had it done two weeks ago but is starting to leak again already any help is appreiciated thanks

Yes the discharge is normal. Do not really understand the anal gland question what is the problem as they should discharge with deification that is their function. If you mean the fluid is running down the dogs legs then that does sound like a problem and a vets visit is required.

Anal glands only need emptying if they DON'T empty naturallt. The more often it is done, the slacker they become, and the more often it has to be done, so it's a vicious circle.

The anal glands should not leak constantly, they only discharge the fluid when the dog defaecates, if they are leaking constantly and you can see staining on the dogs trousers, legs, then you need to take him back to the vet.
