Topic Dog Boards / Showing / WANTED: DOG SHOW TROLLEY

Hi all

Anyone know of a cheap second hand dog show trolley?

I've seen all the brand new ones online - the cheapest is £150 but I'm weighing up my options with a second hand one.

Thanks

http://www.doghealth.co.uk/trolleys.htm  Have had one from them for 2 yrs (the mesh one that is out of stock).  Has been hammered and still looks brand new.  Good size, easy to push / pull.  Only downside it will not fit under the benching but I just take off the handle and stand it upright on the becnhing out of the way.

Hiya

Thanks for your reply but the type I'm looking for is the all-in-one crate on wheels with a grooming top on it.

They're usually resally expensive so I'm looking for a second hand one.

I bought a flat trolley - just wheels and handle, then nagged my husband, bless him!  He screwed hardboard onto the base, drilled holes in it, glued a piece of rubber matting on top, then fixed an ordinary cage on top with cable ties down through the holes, so I can remove it in the future if I want.  Then he made a top for it; just more hardboard with some quarter dowel trim so it sits nice and firm on top and glued more rubber matting on it.  It's great - and much cheaper than shop bought!

Contact Dog Show Trolleys http://www.dogshowtrolleys.com/ they sometimes have 2nd hand trolleys available when people trade in for an upgrade to larger or smaller trolley.

I bought one of these second hand from a friend who shows with me and didn't like using it.  It's the cheaper one from Doghealth (they also sell on ebay at around £200) but I admit the quality isn't as good as the more expensive ones, but it does the job.  We bought rubber grips for the handles and that's improved it too...  If we find we're going to use it loads but this one falls apart, next time I might consider paying more.

Second hand do show up on the internet sites but might be worth asking round fellow competitors too as word of mouth is as likely to find one too.
