Congratulations on your puppy!

To be able to show her you need to make sure she's Kennel Club registered. Hopefully her breeder shows her dogs and will be able to advise you, but if she doesn't (and even if she does!) it'd be well worth joining one of the Cavalier breed clubs; details of these can be found at the bottom of the breed standard.

It'd also be sensible to take her to ringcraft classes as soon as she's finished her injections; this is the best way for both you and your puppy to learn ring procedure and how to present your dog to her best advantage. Your vet might know of ringcraft classes in your area.

This page from the Kennel Club website gives lots of useful advice too. :-)

Yep do what Jeangenie suggest ring craft is the place to start and it will spring board from there.

Your breeder will tell you when she needs her next vaccination, most breeders give the first one so she may only need 1 more

Actually most breeders of my acquaintance do not give the first vaccination, as this presents a problem if the owners vet uses a different brand of vaccine.  No vaccines are guaranteed to be safe/effective with another brand, so it inevitably means the poor pup is started again from scratch, and getting over vaccinated, and there is quite a bit of evidence/opinion that this is not good for them/harmful.

Every breeder I have ever encountered did...

That may be true, but I wonder how many that is?

That may well be true in breeds where pups tend to be sold locally, as the owners can use the same vet, and not encounter this issue, or the breeders may not know/realise or believe there is a problem with too many vaccines given to a puppy..

Ditto. It's actually quite unusual to get a puppy that's had its first vaccination. (Unless it's an older pup of 10 weeks or so.)
