Hi guys, been a while since I last posted on here.  Hope you are all well :) I'm looking into buying a dremel.  Not the pedipaws one as it isnt powerful enough for my boxers.  It would be nice to get some feedback into what you guys use on the larger breeds.

Thanks in advance
Reesy :)

we use a cordless dremel drill for my three newfs, its a little loud but very quick and better then trying to use nail clippers as there nails are black and so are the wicks.
I find it so much quicker and they but worry about the sound of it as hey are used to the blow dryer etc. mine is so loud its like a jet engine.lol

i got my plug in type from Focus for my large dogs, not very loud on setting one so doesn't freak them out at all and works a treat

I got a specific dog one from groomers online. It was cheaper than other dremmels on the market at the time (£40) and I wouldn't use it for anything other than dog nails. I use it on a leo with nails like iron.... it takes me about 10 mins to do all feet. It has a dial on it to control rmp. I LOVE IT.

I've got the same one as Tanya1989. I'm very happy with it!

I don't have a larger breed but I use an electric Dremmel & do 5 Whippets in about 20-30 mins. Up until 18 months ago I used a very big file with a naughty name & had been for 20+ years & took 10 mins per dog!! I wouldn't be without the Dremmel now:).

We have a Dremel we bought from Macro, but it was a good while ago. It was only about £20 and it was brilliant. I recommend trying to find one with a flexible shaft as this makes it much easier to handle when doing nails, especially if you have small hands.

I use this one for all my dogs (small and large) and it is fab.  Love it!

Thanks for all your feedback.  I tried my friends dremel out and it's amazing!!!  Cant believe the difference it makes.  Just proves you're always learning new things!

I think I will invest in one of these! I have two G.S.P's, the girl is not too bad with her nails, but the boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, is a big big baby and a nightmare with his feet!!
