Dithering about whether to get my girl palpated or scanned (or just be patient and wait - ha ha!). Any views / suggestions?

well i wish i hadnt this time ,our girl was scanned and saw 5 she had 3 ,not sure if it lost 2 down to stress of the scan ,her 1st litter ,will have it done at home next time or wait and see LOL x

Yes, I'd have to not get too excited about numbers, but I am just desperate to know if she is in whelp or not. Been 2 weeks tomorrow since first mating and it is going so slowly!!! :-D

I had my girl scanned but they told me no pups....but I now have her eating me out of house & home, developing breast tisue & showing all the signs of being pregnant. She would now be between day 36 - 40. I won't be going back for another scan...I have a Doppler (a Human one) I just have to find how to use it properly lol

I think she's got another infection now, in spite of 20 days on antibiotics. Back to the vets again tonight.... Last time she had puppies she did get an infection, so I'm trying not to lose all hope, but perhaps it's just not meant to be. :-(

Well we got the antibiotics, and although of course it's FAR too early to tell anything for sure, the vet said if she was a betting person she would say yes, as she thought she could feel a slight thickening. Am going back in 10 days for palpating (can't justify scanning expense with all the money I'm throwing at blood tests and antibiotics! :-D )
