If it is a liquid put it in a syringe and syringe it down, hold the muzzle after otherwise she will shake it all over you!!.  Though they should have some food with the wormer, make it sloppy and spoon feed a little.

i will have to do that tomorrow now has she as eaten some of her food that the wormer is in and i dont want to over do her ,how long will this wormer be ok for in her food? should it be eat stright away or will it be ok if she eats it over this evening i will take it away before i go to bed and put dry kibble down for her just incase she eats though the night.

yes its the liquid wormer thanyou x

I would only leave the wormer down for a little while - as it is a dose, and should be taken in one go.  Take the food away and try again tomorrow.

I find that towards the end of the pregnancy bitches can go off their food and also develop a dislike for the wormer and it can be difficult to get them to eat their food with the wormer added.   So I always put the wormer in a syringe, feed them a little food first, usually anything that they will eat, and then syringe the wormer down them, but be prepared otherwise you will end up with more on yourself than inside your girl.

If she will not take it I would not worry too much so long as you worm mum and pups at 2 weeks of age all should be well.

They can be quite fussy towards the end of the pregnancy, well mine can be, possibly because a full uterus is pressing on the stomach.  Sometimes it can be a pain to know what to feed them, but this usually rights itself as soon as the puppies are born.   With one bitch I resorted to giving her cat food, she would not eat anything else.

Have fun tomorrow.

Well, you got off lightly there.   Maybe yesterday she was practicising for the big day!!   Is it day 58 now - the earliest I have had bitches' whelp is 3 days (60 days).  It is going to be a long night then.

Best of luck, let us know when she goes into stage I
