Hi, on my dogs registration certificate ive noticed it still has my old address on. should i send of for a new one before i have her mated in the summer?
The kc do have my new details as i show my dogs, im wondering if it would affect reg puppies later on.
also, it has a blue eye testing stamp on it, would i lose it or would it come up autmatically on a new one?
im just not sure whether to leave it or get a new one, what do you folks think lol

Not sure what you mean by the KC know your address because you show? If it was me I wd. get the address changed as more than likely if you registered pups from her the paperwork would go to the address on the paperwork.
sorry, i informed them of my new address when i moved. i was expecting a stud book no through the post at the time. they also confimed in wtiting they had updated my details.
i think your right i will send of for a new one, it will then have my current address on rather than worrying. thankyou.

As long as the name details are correct the address on the reg. form does not matter, it is the address you fill in on the litter reg. form that the paperwork will come out to. If you are doing the registration online then input your new address details there. The vets stamp from the eye test will not be transferred to any new form, but if you do decide to go down that route then it will be shown in printing on the form as the date of the last eye test. I think they would probably charge you a transfer fee to change the paperwork anyway, which is only a small amount in the whole process of having a litter, but in my opinion probably better in your pocket than the KCs :)
With regard to the stamp for the eye test, it's worth checking the online database (Health Checks) on the KC site to see if the eye test is showing up for your dog. I've been checking all mine, and their parents, just recently and although the eye test certificates and hip scores should be with the KC for the parents, there were some gaps. When I enquired by phone I was told they didn't have a record of such checks. I've sent off photocopies of the relevant documents to ensure the KC records are up to date and so the database. If people are going to be able to access a public database to check on health tests, its worthwhile ensuring everything is there for your dogs. :-D

Since the system came online it has shown up just how long the timescale can be between doing the test and the vet forwarding it to the KC, 6 months does not seem unusual. With the extra empahsis placed on health it does not seem too much to ask that the test results should be sent to the KC within a matter of say 2 weeks, I would have thought. The vets just don't seem to think that recording the results is much of a priority.
