Hello all,

do any of you have any good sites that i can get a good whippet coat from? The ones I have seen are very expensive (about £20) , I need 2 of them. For that I could get a decent rug for our pony!! Is this the going rate or am I being tight??!!
Thanks for any suggestions

I guess the same if not more work goes into a whippet coat as a pony rug it would only be the cloth that would be more. So as labour is expensive I guess the price asked is fair. I wouldn't make you a coat for £20. Ja:)kie

Hi guest,
I think i came across somewhere that had them for less than that, not much less mind, but a bit cheaper. I think (not sure, and since i cant get back onto the board whre i found the link currently, i cant check) that Jans Greyhound Gifts (might just be Jans Gifts) do them, just put that in google.
Just stick whippet coats into the search bar and see what comes up.

Where are you getting rugs for a pony for £40? I used to loan a pony (in my slimmer, more keen on hitting the ground at speed days!!!) who ate them like most eat polos! and they were £60 odd to replace!

Emma

Hi, just been to JansGifts, and they do coats from under a fiver, depending on what you want, if you want furry and waterproof its more like £15.

Yes you are being too tight...I have never seen a pony rug for £20 ANYWHERE and I think you will find it impossible to get a whippet coat for much less. If you want good quality coats go to www.countrymun.com & tell them I sent you!!!

Did that sis, but didn't get anything off :p :). Seriously tho' the towelling warm-ups are every bit as good as you said, and I'm going to order three more as Christmas presents to sighthound owners.

The Greyhound and Whippet shop

is a good place to start.

Thanks for the link LD. I've just solved another pair of present problems with the Racing Greyhound & the Three Graces :). Coats look nice too and excellent price. Do you have any them and if so are they as good as they look? If so that's two more problems solved :)
