An trying to buy a return train ticket online - found one for £50 which was good but by the time I had created an account on the website it had gone up to over £100!!
The lady on the customer services desk said that cheap tickets sell out fast ( no kidding ). Was wondering if you clever folk out there know whether there will be cheap tickets available again tomorrow or when they're gone are they gone??
Any help very gratefully recieved

You can normally get cheaper train tickets if you book in advance as well. I regularly travel from Birmingham to Oxford, if I book about a week before, I can get a single for about £10+ where as if I buy a ticket on the day it's about £29!
if you break your journey down you can get it a lot cheaper
ie; a return to nuneaton from winsford (cheshire) via crewe is £11 then a return to london is £12 from nuneaton
if you are not fussy on times then its a bargain. or go onto Megabus website they also do train journeys at really cheap prices.
i have been to Victoria in London for £3 from coventry using the bus service
