My bitch was scanned today, 30 days from second mating, and the scan was inconclusive.  The vet said the uterus is enlarged, which makes her think she is pregnant.  My question is:  if this is a phantom pregnancy would be uterus be enlarged?  I'm going back for a re-scan next week but just wondered if anyone had any thought - thank!

by day 30 ive always had my girls scanned ,ive always seen pups if there is any ,sorry that dont help much! :(

Same here, as that's day 30 from second mating I would have thought if there were pups you would have definitely saw them, sorry :-(

We went back for a second scan yesterday and 3 (possibly 4) pups could be seen!  She's only a small dog, so I wouldn't expect more than 4.  She started to expand in size over the past week, so I didn't really need the scan for confirmation, but as the vet offered a free rescan I thought I may as well - it was nice to see it for myself! 
I know a lot of people here have said their vet could say when the pups were conceived, but as I live in a fairly rural area I don't think my vet has the most up to date equipment, so I guess that's why nothing was seen at 30 days.
