Thanks to some of your lovely recommendations my OH, his Dad & Jake the Border Collie are off to Rose Cottage, West Downs, Ilfracombe all dog friendly through Farm & Cottage Holidays, now my question is what do you suggest for Whistler and I to do with a whole week alone.

Our own remote control, own fridge, no sharing of dog beds in the lounge, me and my pal are FREE.

It was my idea but I will miss them, he's been very stressed (OH) and his Dad has not really bounced back at all from MIL dying a year ago so it was a plan to get them off bonding, Jake is going to look after them!! They will have a great time Im sure and walk all day every day, Ive arranged a big BBQ when they get back as its OH's birthday!

Well I would stock up on wine and chocolate and have at least 1 duvet day!

My OH has just returned from a few days fishing. I enjoyed having the whole bed to myself (bliss), watching whatever 'rubbish' I wanted to on the TV without any moaning, aswell as eveining Monopoly with my boys (10 & 11 yrs old) - yay a few days freedom, LOL

I'm sure your OH & his dad will have a lovely time and they will be home before you know it :)

Make sure that you show Jake how to use the phone before they head off - That way you can call him to make sure they are behaving themselves!!! :)

I will remeber to pack his back pack with change for the telephone Im hoping OH will leave his danm Blackberry at Home.
