Has anyone any experience of sending a pup to Ireland, cheapest , safest way. New owner would be coming over to collect  but not sure whether ferry or air. Any info welcome. Thanks

The fastest ferry goes from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire and takes just under two hours. Next fastest is Holyhead to Dublin or Fishguard to Rosslare which are about 3 and a half to 4 hours. i think the prices are generally the same, the fast one only makes one trip a day so it would require an overnight stay somewhere to make the full journey. I've only taken multiple adult dogs across, although a friend did bring a puppy back for us as they had the brother, so at least they had each other as company. The pup would have to stay in the car or provided "kennels", personally I would go with the car though.

From a quarantine view see different animals arriving each week, it is easy.

The quickest and smoothest route is the best.

PS do not for get the nappy changing pads in the bottom of the travel crate,
Keeps all accidents away from the skin and the top blanket dry.

Depending on where you are in England and where the pup is going to in Ireland, you may also want to look at going via Stranrear to Belfast.  The crossing is around 2 hours.

Thanks Guys. She has checked out Aer Aaran and flight is only 50 mins and 1/2 hour car journey so this might be option.
Thanks for the nappy liner tip, thats very useful :-)
