I weaned mine on BARF from 3 weeks of age. Raw minced chicken/lamb/rabbit with raw veg mushed in a processor. By the time they were 4 weeks they were having a turkey leg to nibble on and by the time they had left they were on a full BARF diet at ten weeks, chicken wings/necks and pigs tails as well as their mince. I put two drops of ABIDEC childrens vitamin in one of their meals each day. Chicken wings should be hand held at first in case the pup tries to gulp, this way they learn to chew and eat slowly. I also fed them all seperately so as they didn't feel they had competition and ate too quickly. I gave a small saucer of goats milk after each feed and added a raw egg yolk in goats milk for supper. Snacks were raw carrots, sweetcorn niblets (not on the cob, can cause obstruction) sugar snap peas, chopped swede, pears, apples, melon etc.
Of course this is only applicable if you want to feed BARF - if not my apologies.
My two small terriers are also fed the entire range of BARF as well as my Malamutes.
