Does anyone know how to get a hydraulic grooming table looked at to see if it is fix-able? Mine is oldish, and has gradually gone to the point where you have to lift it up manually instead of pumping it up, and over the next day or so it sinks down again. A friend suggested it might just need bleeding and oiling, but I am a complete dunce with that sort of thing and don't understand mechanics at all. Also we may have lost the little black thing you fix on to lower it down - not a problem at present of course as it sinks slowly down by itself! (at least we haven't yet unpacked it after our recent move)

Would it be worth getting in touch with Simpsons, who sell hydraulic tables. They might be able to advise you.

I didnt get it from Simpsons and have no idea where it originally came from, but it might be worth a try, thanks.

It may just be a seal is leaking which should be fairly easy to repair. You could try asking at one of the smaller independent garages as they may be able to help you fix it - when we ran a car body shop many moons ago we were often asked to fix items that weren't related to cars at all.

We went all round Ipswich trying to find someone to help without luck. Hubby has now downloaded info about bleeding and oiling, so we'll try that, and my boss says one of our power tools suppliers could probably look at the seals if that's the problem. So it's looking hopeful! I want to buy a new blaster/dryer, so don't really want to have to fork out for a new table too!

If you Google - small hydraulic repair - you get companies such as this one in St Ives, Cambridgeshire who seem to do the sort of work you need.  Most of the companies I found, work on items from small to enormous!!  Worth a phone call at least :) HTH
