My son has an Audi A3 and tonight whilst driving his wipers stopped working! he has changed the fuse but no luck, he can hear the wiper blade noise but the blades dont move. Also for some strange reason he cant get the bonnet up even though the catch has been released, my daughters boyfriend tried to do it as well but they cant open it.

he'll now have to take our 'dog' car to work tomorrow and no doubt it will be me ringing the garage to book in for repair! why can boys never sort things themselves and leave everything to last minute, that is trying to fix it once its got dark and raining.

sounds like disengaged linkage :) becareful when mending it, my friend lost his finger a month ago by trying to mend same problem :(
