Topic Dog Boards / Health / Diarrhea, wind, wimper, not walking right?

My firend has just asked me to have a look at her staffie male, he has had diarrhea on and off since Friday, still eating ok, drinking fine, going for his usual walks, etc:
But last night he woke her up wimpering, so she slept downstairs with him, and when morning arrived he drunk a little water and just laid down on his bed.
When he does get up off his bed his back legs tend to 'woddle' as though his bottom was feeling sore, which is understandable having diarrhea.
His stools are like 'puree' he has terrible wind too.

I checked his tummy, doesnt seem to be hard or bolging, his temparature is fine, his nose is wet his gums are nice pink.
The main things my friend is concerned about is his back legs 'woddle' and his diarrhea.
She has booked him into the vets for this PM, but wondered if anyone has had a dog with these sypmtoms?
My dogs have had diarrhea before which I have starved them for 24 hours, then fed rice etc: but none of my have never 'woddled' or wimpered in pain??

Has he been castrated?

My Boxer had a terrible bout of loose poo and was then straining but nothing coming out. He was also walking a bit funny. When I went to the vet they said he has an enlarged prostate as he is producing too much testosterone. They have given him a tardak injection to reduce his hormone levels and we're looking to get him castrated if the prostate doesn't reduce in size!

Has he been castrated?

Yes he has been castrated :)
At the vets yesteraday afternoon, the vet said it is something he has possibiliy eaten as his temp etc is ok.

He slept on the sofa most of the day yesteraday, and slepted better last night, I spoke to my friend this morning and she said he is much better :) :) he is walking better, able to climb the stairs and has eaten a little chicken after being starved for 24 hours, so lets hope he is on the mend :) :)
