
If your dog does get one try to determine if it is a frog versus toad.... Frogs shouldn't do any harm, but toads have chemicals in their skin which will make dogs quite ill (and people too given enough exposure and yes some people have been known to do that on purpose as it causes hallucinations.). Racking brain but I think the toad chemical is Bufotenin and is toxic to dogs, making them foam at the mouth.... and probably see purple monkeys bouncing off the ceiling.
Anyways - frogs are the smooth greeny ones and toads are the larger, darker rough bobbly ones. Oh, and neither actually go "ribbit" in this country, that's a vile rumour circulated by american frogs who are jealous of our culture and legal-high toads.
