sorry to hear things didn't go to plan this time round but don't give up hope. Fate has funny ways of working as I found out a couple of years back when waiting for a pup, same thing then my dog at the time bless her heart got ill so i looked upon that as fate and time not being right.  Now she has passed on the time for me to puppy search is back and turns out the dog i have been watching mature from back then (a pup from previous litter breeder kept on) is nice and mature and she's about to put him to stud to one of her new bitches so fingers crossed there....so fate has funny ways of working I do believe.

Things will look up for you I am sure just gotta keep with the research and things will happen and the right pup shall come to you :)

Sorry nesstaffy, I can imagine how you feel but I guess the breeder will be very disappointed too. Perhaps he/she can recommend someone else in the breed who is reputable and has or is expecting pups? What about the breed club secretary, won't they be able to provide you with a list of breeders with pups for sale? Good luck with your search--I always believe things turn out one way or another for a reason, even though we may never see it. You'll find the pup for you x

i think staffys are still one of the most overbred breeds so you shouldnt have any problem finding another reputable breeder or maybe one of the many in rescue?

I know that the breeder was upset as well as he was keeping one.i know nothing is concrete when dealing with nature i have been searching on the places that you mentioned already its just going through the whole thing again from scratch i know fate has funny ways and im not  giving up

I understand and agree with what you are saying  and in the past before i had my kids ive rescued quite a few staffies and staffy crosses but i want 2 get into showing and having a son who is autistic i believe bringing a puppy into my family will suit us better

Oh you have my sympathy. I have just had to tell a lovely family who want a son from one of my boys, that the mating hasn't gone ahead, as the poor bitch owner had an emmergancy in the family and is postponing the mating until next season.  As if that wasn't bad enough, this family have already had two disapointments when the first bitch Oak was to be mated to came into season 2 months early, which didn't work timing wise, and the second bitch failed her eye test, so it wasn't even third time lucky!!

You have my greatest sympathy but the is a puppy out there for you somewhere, never fear!

If you are not in a rush and feel this was the right combination&breeder, why not just wait for the bitches next season?
I know it can be hard but I have done this myself and the time does go surprisingly quickly!

In my case it took me 3+ years to have my name on a puppy... and I already had +10 years in the breed under my belt so knew where to look!
I was always on the waiting list before the bitch was even in season so went through the waiting to come to season, waiting to see if the mating happens, waiting to see if expecting, waiting to see if puppies of right sex are born... There are so many things you wait for!!
Bitch 1 missed and was not going to be bred again due to her age(it was going to be her last litter) so the search continued
Bitch 2 the breeder changed the male at the last minute and I did not want a puppy off that male so the search continued
Bitch 3 missed first time but as they were trying next season with same male, I stuck around and yes, after few years of thinking I will never find my next dog, I had my pick of the litter and then only had to wait for further year to bring her home(importing).

Reading that, you could say I must be pretty patient person and  I suppose that is right :) :)
Just to point out I did not have a dog at the time either so was really really NEEDING to have a dog, it was not like I had other doggies to keep me busy!

i would wait for her next season which is only in july but he is not going for the same stud and have fell in love with the stud dog.So have contacted the studs owner and working from there also have found a litter 2 weeks old and the stud i wanted is the grandfather of these pups i just hope im not to late fingers crossed.
I have been waiting over a year now as the dam has been covered by stud on two seasons so only another two years to go then ;)
I defiantly am not the patient type but will have to be in this game.
I know what you mean i havent got any other dogs to keep me busy and all i seem to talk about is dogs :):)
I've been wishing for the right one for years now and i thought i'd found it right dam right sire but will keep looking until the right one comes along this year or next thanks nessa

You are already member of the "never going to the dog" club then...
Hopefully soon you will join the "he/she was worth the wait" club :) :)

Good luck in your search!
