anyone going??
We are, AVNSC terrier puppy, loony on legs :)

I would normally go but I am getting increasingly fed up with societies putting on judges who are not on the club judging lists. So am am voting with my feet. On this occasion the judge has been in the breed for 5 minutes and has not even done a breed seminar.

I am getting increasingly fed up with societies putting on judges who are not on the club judging listsWhilst I agree with your comment Crinklecut, at least this particular society is putting on classes for some breeds that rarely get classes at open shows now. I should imagine a lot of it is getting judges who can "judge" a lot of breeds which cuts the society's work down.
I have to say, with the cost of showing I have decided to travel further for a breed specialist than go under someone who has no real interest in the breed at a local show.
Er, Rachel, yes you kept that one quiet :-P

I dont mind one judge doing a number of breeds as it is less costly for the society and I can understand why they do it, but with our judge he is only doing the one breed.

Rach we need to share the good news, birthdays are always there to be celebrated, that we survived another year!!! lol...
Looks like we may not make it now, hubby (the handler) comes home off the golf course having been scratched in the eye by a holly bush whilst looking for his ball. Have just returned from the hospital with drops, creams and a scratched cornea. I am trying to be sympathetic.......
So he will either handle with a swollen eye and a confused sense of direction or it's down to me and I have only done it twice (about 8 years ago) it's just not my thing I get too nervy. Maybe we'll just have a lie in instead.
Good Luck to all those who mange to get there.
