Did anybody else watch this last night?

If so please tell me I was not the only one who sat and sobbed through the whole episode :)
The OH says its my hormones although it was he who wanted to watch it in the first place, then he who couldnt bear to watch it as it was too sad lol.
- By Lollie [gb] Date 23.03.10 09:09 UTC
I sat and sobbed too, so your not on your own. Maybe it's a bullmastiff owners thing - LOL.
That's two nights in a row sobbing for me, though OH was also sobbing on Sunday, as we watch Marley and me for the first time. :)

So glad it wasn't just me, sobbed like a baby!!  Really enjoyed this series.
- By Carrington Date 23.03.10 09:52 UTC
I have only just finished watching this on catchup tv now, and I have been blubbering like a baby all the way through, my tissue box is empty. A whole week until the next episode. :-( What a great show this has turned out to be. Off to wash my face and put some makeup on, I have a friend coming over in an hour she will think something tragic has just happened........... it did. :-(

- By Paula20380 [gb] Date 23.03.10 10:19 UTC
I watched it this morning and sat crying through the whole thing. Hadn't realised next week was last one, that has upset me even more I have really enjoyed it!!
- By Paula [gb] Date 23.03.10 10:25 UTC
No, I did too.  It has been a really good series, with great characters.

Will have the tissues at the ready for next week!

(Talking of hormones, I was reminded the other day that after I had my boys, I couldn't even watch the news without crying :-D)
- By Bullmastifflove [gb] Date 23.03.10 12:09 UTC
Lol, I'm so glad its not just me :), I dont know if I can cope with next weeks episode.

Back to Marley and me I didnt just sob I cried like a little baby, reminded me of when I lost my 1st dog.

I still haven't managed to finish the book! But then as a child i couldn't read certain chapters in the James Herriot books. OH wants to watch the film but I might have to make my excuses!

> Back to Marley and me I didnt just sob I cried like a little baby

You sound just like how I was, and we were in the cinema! :-O
- By Lollie [gb] Date 23.03.10 12:58 UTC
with Marley & me, I knew what was coming as I have read the book, my OH didn't, we were sat cuddling all five dogs sobbing away, dogs looking at us klike we were mad!!
- By Goldiemad [gb] Date 23.03.10 16:26 UTC
Last night was the first episode I saw, and although it didn't make me weep. it quite touched me and made me realise just how lucky we are.
- By cocopop [gb] Date 23.03.10 17:50 UTC
Cried Sat, (Marley), Sun, (Boyzone thing and Jade), then last night at this!!

Hope Holby isn't a sad one this week :-)
- By Freds Mum [gb] Date 23.03.10 19:01 UTC
i cried more during last weeks episode where the partner suspected something was up but she was adamant there was nothing wrong, then she was diagnosed as terminally ill. I found his (sorry dont know actors name) acting really good. Really captured the emotions one must feel when hearing that kind of news.
has been a good series. Not looking forward to next week though :-(

They were on this morning today ..talking about next weeks episode ...I just loved this drama cant wait for a follow up series.
- By suejaw Date 24.03.10 00:42 UTC
Wasn't sure about watching this as didn't know much about it, so watched FlashForward instead. Think i may have to seek this out on the ITV catchup now..

For the record i've just watched Marley and Me again, cried my heart out yet again, don't think i'll ever watch that without crying!!
- By Bullmastifflove [gb] Date 24.03.10 08:25 UTC
I dont know if I can watch it again, I was explaining to the OH last night what happened as he fell asleep and that was it..... I was sobbing my heart out again.

What am I going to do with myself lol :D
- By STARRYEYES Date 24.03.10 13:00 UTC
afraid cant watch marley and me have the book which was bought as a gift ,I cant read that either.
- By Freds Mum [gb] Date 24.03.10 13:14 UTC
I think i'm the only person on this planet that didnt like the film much :-) much preferred the book. At times i thought the owners of marley came across as quite irresponsible - not a great advertisment to the general public.
- By Gemma86 [gb] Date 25.03.10 12:17 UTC
I starting reading Marley & Me earlier last year and said to myself I would reserve the book for quiet un-interupted time, like when I was on the ferry travelling over to shows (which was all most every weekend from April - June)
Anyways I got near the end of the book and was sat on the ferry blubbering away................then stupid me downloaded the film for my Ipod.........yep I watched whilst on the ferry and cried again lol
- By inthemistuk [gb] Date 25.03.10 12:52 UTC
i read the book the day i was given it last year!
still havent read the last chapter though and probably never will...
i couldnt see through the tears....

- By Paula [gb] Date 30.03.10 10:04 UTC
Very sad!  Sobbed my heart out at the funeral (I do really know it's not true!!).

On a happier note, can't wait for Ashes to Ashes on Friday, woo hoo, welcome back Gene Genie!!!!!
- By annastasia [gb] Date 30.03.10 11:18 UTC
Got the whole series to watch, will probably find time over easter, woo hoo.
- By Tricolours [gb] Date 30.03.10 11:52 UTC
WHAT WAS IT ABOUT? I missed it, and where can i go to watch the programme.
- By Paula [gb] Date 30.03.10 12:06 UTC
Make sure you have the tissues ready Tracey!!
- By Carrington Date 30.03.10 12:06 UTC
I would expect this to come out on DVD anyway, but if you have sky or cable you can catch up on a lot of tv whenever you like.

It may well be repeated on the plus one channels as well.

It's about 3 very different brothers one married, single, other and their partners lives, all live closely to one another and they go through, some sad (very sad) some happy times, all have a very strong bond and help each other to cope with things, and the married, single other theme tends to change around as the programme progresses. It's about love.

Must admit wasn't hooked until the 3rd episode once the characters were fully established, but then you kind of don't want it to end you bond with the characters. It's kind of been left where they could make another series, or we are left to make our own conclusions of how their lives ended up. :-)

Be warned when you get to watch it, the last two espisodes you will need at least 2 boxes of tissues.

> Make sure you have the tissues ready Tracey!!

Will do, doesnt take much to set me off. Thanx Paula
- By Bullmastifflove [gb] Date 30.03.10 13:37 UTC
Oh I forgot all about it, watched the whole series to miss the last one............... trust me :(
- By arched [gb] Date 30.03.10 14:07 UTC
Last night was my favourite episode and we now know the characters. I must say, I'm not a Lucy Davis fan so maybe that's why I preferred last nights episode. I didn't feel she was right as Lillie.
