I have a small lab cross bitch who is submissive. I chose her
because of that. As my last bitch was domanent, I didn't
want to go threw that again. My lab cross is sweet natured,
and is now 2yrs old and spayed.Size wise she's in between a
cocker and a springer spaniel. My question is, would it be ok
to have a toy breed to go with her, I was thinking of a toy
poodle. I have owned a poodle before, a miniture she was my very
first dog. Over 30 yrs I have owned and loved 5 dogs, all
but one have been pedigree. Jill.

Hi guest,
I think a min or toy poodle and lab would get along quite well :) At least you'd only have one dog that would shed (or UK term -- Moult) :D :D
good luck on your search,
toodles

Moulting in American is only used to mean "Lose feathers" :) :) Dogs don't have feathers  :P :)

Shed: (American Heritage Dictionary) (verb, not noun ;) :D )
1. To cause to pour forth: shed tears. 2. To diffuse or radiate; send forth or impart: shed light. 3. To repel without allowing penetration: A duck's feathers shed water. 4a. To lose by natural process: a snake shedding its skin. b. To rid oneself of (something not wanted or needed): I shed 25 pounds as a result of my new diet. (don't I wish ;) :D :P )

INTRANSITIVE VERB: 1. To lose a natural growth or covering by natural process. 2. To pour forth, fall off, or drop out: All the leaves have shed.

ETYMOLOGY: Middle English sheden, to separate, shed, from Old English scadan, to divide. See skei- in Appendix I.
