So if money was no object which would you prefer to feed, a high quality kibble say something like orijen or a high quality wet food such as naturediet, natures harvest?  Also interested as to why you would pick one over the other.

Wet food everytime.

I would still feed both wet and dry.  I like the nutritional value of the dry I feed (RC), and it produces excellent poops!  The wet is more of a treat, and a good alternative when she is away from home or ill or otherwise not keen on eating dry.  It's the best of both worlds IMHO!

Neither - I vote raw :)

Raw gives me the opportunity to manage content and quantity more effectively.  I can customise each meal dependant on each dogs preferences, our activities, or their medical/health state.  I can buy from any high street butcher, or supermarket (anywhere in the country - if travelling), or online (I use TPMS).

That said, I do like to feed one or two kibble meals per week.  It's handy to accompany cooked meat leftovers or as a launching pad for tinned sardines.  The dogs like it for a change and it's always an easy one for the kids or MIL to feed if they're dog sitting.  I use AG Lamb and Rice - it works well for me and the dogs.  I never hesitate to recommend either the food or the company and they offer excellent customer service.

I wouldn't say cost is no object BUT it's not the main criteria for choosing food for my dogs - their health and welfare is the primary driver...

I feed raw and Orijen

I currently feed AG to my two boys and they do great on it.  Younger female BC pretty much hates kibble although she has managed well on Orijen and I like it but it is of course increasing in price and is harder to get as I have a memory like a sieve in remembering to order it online (used to get it somewhere locally).  I have been considering swopping her across to natures harvest - she loves it, did well on it as a puppy and I can easily get hold of it locally.  Works out cheaper than orijen to feed and I like the ingredients although it does have a small percentage of rice in it.

My dogs do get at least one raw meal a week but I did try the whole hog but found it hard to keep going when I was away at shows camping.

we did try raw last year for about six months.  The dogs did well on it but I really struggled getting good quality meat down here and bones.  Managed to finally get a source for bones so they have those at least once a week but never got anywhere with the meat.  Plus I compete in agility and not having a caravan found it hard to do whilst we were aware which is most of the summer.  I want to keep her on something constant and Natures Harvest seems like the nearest to raw that I can get with it also being convenient and easy for me to get hold of.

raw diet for my lot im affraid......just cant get it where i am anymore :-(

sorry edited to add why....because i belive they enjoy eating it more than what i feed now and mostly i love the coat condition and the fact they never used to EVER sit and watch us eat(or try at least) they seemed to be fuller for longer
