Am off to crufts, and am thinking I might be buying a pair of clippers while I'm up there. I want a pair that will hold up to 2-3 times a week being used but will last forever.

I am looking at getting a clippered breed, and so need the clippers for that. I use clippers @ work (Oster and Andis) in the vets, but we only use them for short bursts for surgical clipping, so I thought I'd ask here for recommendations from people who use clippers for more complex reasons and for longer.

Any ideas?!

ETA http://www.equineclothing.co.uk/products.aspx?subCatId=13 We use that first set of clippers @ work, and I really like them, but am not sure they are suitable for what I would need?

What breed are you thinking of getting?

Portie. Still in the thinking/researching stages, but even if I don't get one, I will be learning to pet clip 'tzu so I'm still looking for a pair of clippers

Scissoring would give a better finish. :)

i vote andis aswell although i have oster but the oster cant hurt your hands if using them for too long. i have had both my sets for a few year and sent them off for servicing last year cost me £80 for the 2 sets to be done but will not last another few years
