Can anyone recommend a hotel near Crufts that takes dogs?
I know I have left it late but worth a try

We're staying a the Novotel NEC.
:)

How close are you wanting to be?
Im in stourbridge area, and theres a few hotels ranging from quality inn's to more upmarket ones.
Its probably about a half hour drive to NEC if your going early, im going by train but only as a visitor.
If you google 'Hotes in stourbridge' or 'dudley' there are a few choices. Might have beter avalability not being so close to the NEC, but of course it's how the location fits in with your plans.
Probably havn't helped lol

Novotel allows dogs (as we are obviously taking ours) and there's a direct monotrail type link straight into the NEC.

Thanks have had a good ring round but due to being 4 of us plus the dog it is too expensive so we will drive down on the day.

Thanks

I have friends who stay there & to save paying parking at the NEC (& walking from the car parks) they get a taxi from the hotel to the main doors of the NEC, taxi is about £6. :)
- By ANNM172 [gb] Date 08.03.10 09:33 UTC
Not a bad idea if the taxi would take a show trolley
- By Gemma86 [gb] Date 08.03.10 09:55 UTC
Yep they have show trolleys, have toy & terrier breeds, they book a hackney cab and roll it straight into it set up.

We are there Friday and Saturday nights, and we always do the taxi thing too, it means you can get dropped off right at the Hall doors, as Taxis are allowed up to the main entrance.  Don't forget that the hotel now charges for car parking - it isn't the cheap option but certianly saves on time and walking - especially useful if it is raining.  Make sure, when you book the taxi, that the hotel tells the taxi company that you want one to take a dog - a lot of the taxi drivers who work in the area won't let dogs in the car.
