Ordered myself a rotary washing line for my new house.  I have used the site before and the previous item came promptly almost next day delivery.  This time nothing happened for a week and then I had an e-mail to say that the item was not in stock but don't worry it will arrive soon!  Well they took the money the day I ordered it - week ago yesterday.  I tried phoning them - we are moving pretty soon and I had allowed the 14 days delivery they quoted.  All I get is recorded music and zilch.  Looking for more information on this site I came across bad reviews - some people waiting for up to 4 months for their item. Complaints that no-one answers the phone and nobody responds to e-mails.   I e-mailed them and said that if they can't deliver it by next Tues I want to cancel my order.  Of course I have had no response from e-mail either.  How on earth can you contact someone when they refuse to answer.  How annoying - how can I cancel my order if I can't contact anyone.

If it was the famous e**y site and you paid by paypal contact the e**y people and tell them what you have told us, they should be able to get your money back.

No I didn't go through them - I did a search for best price.  Originally I thought the shop was an offshoot of the company selling these rotary lines but it is independant and goes by several different names - only one of which is the registered name of the company.  They are on the market place of another well known site too.

I would be having a word with Trading Standards about this one. They may be able to give you more information. If the company has more than one name I would be very cautious about using them. but I have a suspicious nature ;-)

talk to your bank, credit card orders are easy to stop, debit card orders can take a long time to get your money back but it is worth enquiring. hth

If you paid by credit card, ring your credit card company and ask them to do a charge back.

That is what I intended to do today but ended up with a sick grandchild to look after - so nothing done today - nor tomorrow by the look of it.

Good job I didn't see your bad news before ordering online from Hong Kong!

I ordered a mobile phone, half the price that I could find it over here, and someone at work said I was stupid.

I got an email on Monday saying that it had been despatched, and it arrived today!!

I am sorry about your bad luck though.  :-(
