
I think you should ask your vet what deals he does!
I have a tiny breed, and don't have them chipped until they go in for their 2nd puppy health check at 6 months.
But when they have their first jabs, I pay for both jabs and the microchip at the same time. When paid for altogether, my vet only charges just over £7 for the chip. As I use a pretty expensive veterinary hospital, I was surprised. Until the vet told me that the microchip company bear the costs.
I don't see that just my vet gets a discount, and feel that your vet should pass on his offer to you. You have nothing to lose by asking what they offer.
